My Life Thus Far

June, 1989

Born in Goshen, Indiana.

September, 1994

Started Kindergarten. Always in trouble, loved recess, hated math.

June 1995

Rode a bike for the first time. Straight on a 2 wheeler with no training wheels. Crushed it.

May 1998

Won “Best Penmenship” award. Beat all the 5th graders.

October, 1999

Our beloved team, The Sharks, former champions of Elkhart Youth Soccer League, lost the championship in PK’s. Soul crushed. Cried for days.

July, 2000

Moved to Scranton, Pennsylvania. Yes it’s a real place.

November, 2002

Got cut from the 8th grade basketball team. Started to develop a love for photography, design, and “borrowing” old National Geographic magazines from the public library but never giving them back.

March, 2005

Saw my first episode of The Office. Ruined me forever.

January, 2006

Got my first bootleg copy of Photoshop from a computer-nerd-friend-from-History-class named Jeff. Fell in love with type design.

June, 2008

Graduated high school and spent a year in Argentina.

August 2012

Finished college and grad school, then married my best friend.

August 2013

Went to a Beyoncé concert and stood in the very front row. She made eye contact with me several times.

July 2014

Moved to Florida and experienced the Wizarding World. ⚡️

September 2015

Moved to Vancouver, British Columbia and fell in love with the PNW. ☔️

June 2016

Had our first kid.

July 2018

Had our second kid.

May 2019

Moved to Portland, Oregon. 🏔

August 2019

Worked for a tech-start up.

March 2020

COVID. 😫

September 2020

Moved to Spokane, Washington.
